Jerry Dipoto shows he cares not for the LL staff’s ability to enjoy a nice gentle brunch and instead made a bunch of trades this morning, which you can read about here. The biggest news is that the Mariners somehow won the Yonder Alonso sweepstakes, and Boog Powell finally gets a much-deserved chance to play at the MLB level without being blocked by 432 other players. I will miss you patrolling the outfield in Tacoma, Boog, but go get ‘em.
Today we have a doubleheader, because the weather in Kansas City is bananas, and we also get to see Marco Gonzales make his MLB debut for the Mariners. I’m hoping for five or six innings of three-run ball from Marco, which seems pretty reasonable for a guy who is one year removed from TJ and has bounced between starter and reliever in his pro experience.

Will update with the second lineup when it becomes available.
Game info: it’s on RIGHT NOW OH MY GOSH JERRY WHY CAN’T YOU SCHEDULE THIS STUFF DIFFERENTLY
But we do appear to be off to a good start:
