Mariners Moose Tracks, 7/13/17: Trade Rumors, Alex Bregman, and Andy Murray

The All-Star Break is almost over.

MLB: Milwaukee Brewers at New York Yankees Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning everyone! Today is the last day remaining in the All-Star Break, so try to push through! Although it’s a pretty bad time for the news cycle, there’s still plenty of stuff going on. Let’s get your day started off right.

In Mariners news...

  • Looks pretty nice!
  • Apparently the Mariners are aiming to add more pitching at the trade deadline, but will absolutely not deal Nelson Cruz no matter where the team is in the standings. That means you can pretty much kiss your dreams of a complete tear down goodbye.

In Mariners minors news...

  • The Pacific Coast League came away victorious by a 6-4 score in yesterday’s All-Star Game held at Cheney Stadium.

Around the league...

  • Astros infielder Alex Bregman angrily DM’d a fan of the team for suggesting Bregman should be traded. Bregman has since deleted his Twitter account.
  • The Washington Post went in-depth on each MLB ballpark in a recent feature. It’s pretty neat.
  • This is pretty awesome.
  • While a lot of MLB fans aren’t necessarily big fans of the Tim Tebow storyline, many players love it and really want to see him succeed.
  • Although Aaron Judge is a power hitter, it often seems like he’s trying to hit like he’s a contact hitter.
  • FOX Sports made a dumb decision apparently.

Anders’ picks...

  • Continuing my tennis trend here...not a big Andy Murray fan but this was neat.
