The Mariners attempt to avoid a splitting hangover from last night

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Wednesday, everybody! I don't think I'm alone when I say that it would just be swell if this game could end before 11 PM tonight. Hisashi Iwakuma will take on Ricky Nolasco. I'll direct you to Luke and Jake's excellent series preview if you want to read about Nolasco. The short version is that he doesn't have a great pitch other than his fastball and he's been outperforming his poor FIP so far this year. Of course, Kuma's FIP has been even worse than Nolasco's so far, so let's hope for some one-sided regression.

Also, it's by far the most beautiful day of the season so far, so make sure to soak it in and bring yourself up before the Mariners bring you down nice and hard bring you up so high that you're in the exosphere and die from exposure and lack of oxygen.
