After a relaxing weekend off in Toronto, the Mariners head back to work.

I hope everyone in the Seattle area is enjoying the rainy afternoon that likely matches your mood after that weekend series. A little bit of sunshine: we are free of Canada, Justin Smoak, and those awful hot pink uniforms. Steve Cishek has been liberated from the disabled list and is now burdened with the expectation that he'll be able to save the bullpen. No pressure.

Lineups are below, however, Robinson Cano has been scratched due to that lingering quad issue. Taylor Motter will play second, Guillermo Heredia will move over to left field, and Jarrod Dyson will get the start in center field.

Yovani Gallardo takes the mound tonight. I may or may not perform some sort of sacrifice to the baseball gods every time he throws a pitch to help him stay uninjured.
