Good morning to all of you!
The Mariners have lost three in a row, every single joke regarding the Mariners and their impossibly damaged rotation has been made, and I had to set an alarm for a weekend morning just to make sure I got this game thread up in time. Everything is mildly annoying right now, but for some reason I have a good feeling that the Mariners are going to come out today and make things less annoying. Maybe it's the lack of coffee talking, but I feel optimistic.
Taking the hill is Ariel Miranda, who has pretty much been the epitome of a No. 6 starter this season: 5.20 FIP, 4.53 xFIP, 0.0 fWAR. He has good enough stuff to pull off brilliant outings, but lacks the consistency to pull them off frequently. With the Mariners looking to avoid a four-game sweep, let's all hope we get locked-in Miranda today.
