4/11/17: Open Game Thread

In which Ariel Miranda seeks to remind the Astros' bats they have the right to remain silent.

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

I don't know about you, but after the Mariners won yesterday, the first week of the season has been erased from my memory. How did it go? Seriously, I can't remember. All I know is that the Mariners are undefeated at home in 2017. I'm pleased to say that I'll be in attendance tonight, hoping to see them continue that trend.

It was encouraging to see Cano, Cruz, and Seager combine for six hits in the home opener. It will be interesting to see if they can build off of yesterday's performance and pick up a little momentum.

With Jean Segura on the 10-day disabled list, Jarrod Dyson will lead off for the Mariners. Take a look at the complete lineup below:

Today's Lineups

HOUSTON ASTROS SEATTLE MARINERS
George Springer - CF Jarrod Dyson - LF
Alex Bregman - 3B Mitch Haniger - RF
Jose Altuve - 2B Robinson Cano - 2B
Carlos Correa - SS Nelson Cruz - DH
Carlos Beltran - DH Kyle Seager - 3B
Brian McCann - C Danny Valencia - 1B
Marwin Gonzalez - LF Leonys Martin - CF
Yulieski Gurriel - 1B Carlos Ruiz - C
Josh Reddick - RF Taylor Motter - SS
Joe Musgrove - RHP Ariel Miranda - LHP
Today, while browsing the internet, I found that Ariel Miranda's home-road splits last year were pretty dramatic. At home, he registered an xFIP of 4.47, while striking out 8.27 batters per nine innings. On the other hand, Miranda had a 4.29 K/9 away from home last year, leading to a 6.1 road xFIP.
It seems that other people have posted some fancy songs in their game threads, so here's a country song that I enjoy a lot.
