Hello and happy Friday! The Mariners knew that you just weren’t going to be able to get enough baseball today, so they’re coming at you with two games today. The first game will be against the Royals. James Paxton was originally scheduled to start today, but he has been scratched with the same head cold that’s afflicting Robinson Cano and Nelson Cruz:

Jarrod Dyson will also be missing today as he deals with sore legs:

Hisashi Iwakuma, who had originally been slated to pitch a Minor League game today, will be taking Paxton’s place.
Here are the lineups for the first game:

It should be fun to watch Guillermo Heredia and Mitch Haniger at the top of the order. It could be less fun to watch Steve Baron at DH, but you never know. Eric Filia will be starting in left field. Obviously, he has no real chance at making the roster, but he’ll be fun to watch. The Royals are running out the majority of their everyday lineup, so we’ll see how Iwakuma fares against actual MLB competition.
For the first game:
Game Time: 1:10 PM PT
TV: Root Sports NW/MLB.tv
Radio: 710 ESPN, delayed to 7:00 PM PT
The second game will be against the Angels. It will not, unfortunately, be broadcasted on TV nor on radio. The only way to follow it appears to be via Gameday or MLB.tv (it will be an Angels stream). Here are the lineups!
The Angels will also be running out the majority of their actual lineup, which will make their defeat all the more humiliating. Jean Segura and Leonys Martin will be the only actual starters in the lineup.
Game Time: 5:10 PM PT
TV: MLB.tv
Radio: None
