- Five Richmond University baseball players were ruled ineligible for the season because they participated in a fantasy football league. That seems a little ridiculous to me.

- Japanese superstar Shohei Otani did an interview to talk about a number of different topics, including his decision to play as both a pitcher and a hitter.
- Josh Hamilton’s comeback road just got a little bit longer. The outfielder will have surgery on his knee, putting him out of service for up to three months.
- Eddie Matz at ESPN wonders if this is Dusty Baker’s last chance to win that ever-elusive World Series.

- The Nationals have agreed to a deal with Joe Blanton to bolster their pitching core.
