Good morning, time for some noon-on-a-Tuesday baseball. Rain brought Monday’s game to a merciful early conclusion, and closed the practice fields this morning but hopes are high that today’s game between the Mariners and the White Sox will be unaffected. At the very least, we can hope for a dry first few innings like yesterday, and catch our first, well, whatever the audio equivalent of a glimpse is, of Félix Hernández facing live hitting this spring. He is expected to go two innings before ceding the game to a number of options, including, potentially, Andrew Moore. The potential substitutes are varied, but include a number of fresh faces looking to make their camp debut.

Guillermo Heredia, Ben Gamel, and Mitch Haniger will make up the outfield today, with all three already showing impressive defense in the spring. Daniel Vogelbach will get another go against righty flamethrower Michael Kopech, and the Mariners will also get a look at superprospect Yoan Moncada, who Chicago received as compensation for Chris Sale.
