Ah, yes. Today is the baseball fiend’s Christmas. It’s payday and the dealers are out and ready to take your money/time in exchange for premium baseball. The good shit. The first day of all 4 concurrent playoff series happening at the same time, and timed so that there is a meaningful baseball game being played literally all day, especially if you live on the West Coast. Pretty awesome. And it’s Friday, to boot. Let’s get to it!
ALDS GAME 2 - RED SOX AT ASTROS
Astros lead 1-0
Everyone who didn’t have to watch the Astros a bunch this season got to see what us AL West folks have been fuckin’ dealing with. Soak it all in, Boston!
Lineups!
Game time: 11:00 AM PDT

ALDS GAME 2 - YANKEES AT INDIANS
Indians lead 1-0
The Indians took game 1 and almost no-hit the Yankees. Both teams are gonna be super-bullpenning all series. I have a feeling this will be one of those series where the home team wins every time and it goes the full 5 games.
Lineups!
Game time: 2:00 PM PDT
TV: MLB Network
NLDS GAME 1 - CUBS AT NATIONALS
I wonder if Cubs fans are really even sweating the playoffs this season? Like, the pressure is off, let’s just have fun and see what happens. No big deal. The Nationals, on the other hand, are desperate for some postseason success and want to make it happen while they still have Bryce Harper. Should be fun!
Lineups!
Game time: 4:30 PM PDT

NLDS GAME 1 - DIAMONDBACKS AT DODGERS
Taijuan Walker versus Clayton Kershaw! No pressure, Tai. You got this.
