Hello and welcome to the game thread for game one of the 2017 World Series. We’ve made it. The beginning of the end. It’s currently over 100 degrees in Los Angeles, where they are playing games one and two of this World Series. Nothing says “Fall Classic” quite like 100 degree weather. This is why we as a species can’t have anything nice.

Anyways, it’s Dallas Keuchel versus Clayton Kershaw tonight in a battle of Cy Young winners. Also, it’s a battle of a big, stupid-ass stunt beard with no hair to go with it versus a short, tasteful beard with some nice flow in the back.

Yay, Kyle’s brother is back in the lineup, that is good and fun. Hopefully he can contribute without further messing up his back.

It seems that this is the World Series matchup most LLers preferred, even though it involves a divisional rival. These two teams are young and fun and let’s have a 7 game series at least, all right, fellas? Play ball.
