The 2016 Mariners regular season is allllmost over. Only three games remain! We've had the opportunity to watch a lot of good, fun baseball this year... and also quite a bit of not great baseball. Today's Sporcle is asking you to focus on some of the bad bits. (You know, to help you get any/all baseball-related negativity out of your system, which should allow everyone to be super positive and send the Mariners GOOD VIBES later this evening.) Specifically, this quiz asks you to name the players that have been the least effective with the bat for each of the last 25 years. For example, this year the M's worst ~everyday batter has a wRC+ of 68. Last year, the M's worst everyday batter had a wRC+ of 90. Your task is to name these players.
If you've been paying attention for the last two and a half decades, a lot of these names will immediately spring to mind. However, I think you might be surprised by a couple of the gentlemen who pop up on this quiz. Good luck and go M's.
Note: In the case of a tie, I selected the player who had the greater number of PA during the season in question.
Chrome been a little wonky with these Sporcle embeds the last few weeks (it might be an ad block-related thing? I'm not sure), so if the quiz isn't showing up click here for the direct link.
