Less than 24 hours after the Seattle Mariners squeezed the life out of whatever optimism you miraculously still carried in your soul, they are playing another baseball game. I'll be honest, I'm a little tired of baseball. Rather, I'm a little tired of bad and/or stressful baseball. In theory we should be enjoying these final games because the season is startlingly close to its end, but after last night's sixth inning debacle it's difficult to summon much enthusiasm. This is it though, this is the ultimate must-win game of the season…until tomorrow, at least.
Things could go well today. James Paxton is a Good Pitcher, and the last time Doug Fister threw against the Mariners they beat him up pretty well. Baseball is fickle, though, so who knows. You know what would probably help this team get out of their rut? Changing up the lineup a bit. Especially since two regular starters made game-ruining errors yesterday; that kind of thing really messes with your psyche, and I'm sure it'd be good to give them a break today. Let's check out the lineup…hahahahahahahahahaha
