Taijuan Walker vs. Chris Tillman

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Hey look, the Mariners are playing baseball again. Still. Forever. Tonight, they kick off a four game set against the Baltimore Orioles, a team full to bursting with home runs, and former Mariners hitting them. The Orioles are one home run shy of setting a Major League record for most by a team in June. Taijuan Walker will try to deny them that record, though honestly we'd all be happy if his foot feels ok and he's able to pitch well and for more than five innings.

Today's Lineups

BALTIMORE ORIOLES SEATTLE MARINERS
Adam Jones - CF Leonys Martin - CF
Hyun Soo Kim - LF Seth Smith - LF
Manny Machado - 3B Robinson Cano - 2B
Chris Davis - 1B Nelson Cruz - RF
Mark Trumbo - RF Kyle Seager - 3B
Matt Wieters - C Dae-Ho Lee - 1B
Jonathan Schoop - 2B Adam Lind - DH
Pedro Alvarez - DH Chris Iannetta - C
J.J. Hardy - SS Ketel Marte - SS
Chris Tillman - RHP Taijuan Walker - RHP

Tillman is the best pitcher on a Baltimore team whose rotation has been pretty lackluster this year. Their starters boast (must own?) a 4.62 FIP, while their relievers fare better with a 3.89 FIP.

In other news, Tom Wilhelmsen joined Mike Zunino as a Tacoma call up. Donn Roach returns to Triple A to try to be better at pitching, or at least be bad at it somewhere else.

The Rangers lost in terrific awful fashion. Time to go pick up some ground, and go on a run and have some fun.

And in honor of Italian Heritage Night at Safeco, a little Rosemary. Go M's, go biz.
