Nathan Karns Vs. Dallas Keuchel

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The briefest of blurbs here because I'm tired and in a rush. The Mariners will need good fortune to win tonight. Dallas Keuchel is quite good, and Nathan Karns is an excellent Gil Meche clone, in all the good and bad that that entails. The Mariners have struggled against left-handers this year, and Scott Servais is treating tonight's lineup like one of those kids books with three sections you can flip over to create new, wacky characters. Tonight is something like Clown-Doctor-Cop. We'll see how it works out.

Win, you gilded, shining, first-place residin' beams of light.
