Hello. Before I ask you about your weekend or for your hot takes on VEEP, I want to get a few shameless plugs out of the way-

  • Re-up your inhaler prescription, we’re playing baseball on Saturday. This will be a good chance to have a few people who think they know so much about baseball to put their Mizunos where their mouth is and hit the field. h/t to Patrick for running point on this. Shake his hand when you see him.
  • Lookout Landing is on Instagram now. We will be posting from events, Mariner related things that we see around, screenshots all in your favorite filters! Photos are a nice break from having to read 140 characters. It's exhausting

Now that we got that all out of the way, we can really have fun.

The Seattle Mariners have returned home coming off a 6-3 road trip to take on a very tired, tuckered out, in need of a nap, Houston Astros team. This works in two ways. 1. The Astros stayed up all night playing the Red Sox last night and 2. They’re all a bunch of young boys. They are in desperate need of a nap.

Tonight’s pitching match-up will be Taijuan Walker and Doug Fister. Fister, as you may remember is the trade chip that brought us Casper Wells and Charlie Furbush (one of these things is not like the other.) He is most recently coming off of a quality start against Texas in a losing effort.

Walker has started very strongly so far this year and he has kept his walks down. We are hoping that he continues that tonight.

We are home now. So stand in the place where you live.
