Why, hello there. Did you enjoy the off day yesterday? It was nice out in Seattle, maybe you took a walk around Lake Washington or maybe you walked into Lake Washington. Either way, we’re glad to have you here with us to watch the Seattle Mariners make their way to Cleveland (not to be mistaken with Clevenger) to take on the Indians.
Wade Miley steps on the mound for his third start of the season. The first two starts were pretty rocky, but he’s looked better than his stat line is leading on. He’ll be squaring off against Carlos Carrasco. He’s looked alright so far this year, but a few Lookout Landing staffers feel he’s going to have one HECK of a season.
OTHER THINGS-
- Progressive Field is a house of horrors for the Mariners. Nathan recapped that come from behind loss fifteen years ago that has a lot of us waking up in cold sweats to this day as some sort of sick joke.
- So Kyle Seager as a #2 hitter against RHP is not a thing anymore? Scott Servais had him up there three times this season and enough was enough. I personally would have liked to have seen a longer leash with Seager hitting second. I am an under-qualified Scott and this is not my hill to die on.
- Ohio is WEIRD. Why are these games starting at 3:10PM? What kind of HELL is this?
3PM is a weird start, but it's also when a lot of happy hours begin around town. So duck out of the office early, grab some cheap appetizers and have the barkeep pour you a diesel. It's time to party.
