Hello. Welcome aboard this Wednesday afternoon voyage. Today a few thousand Pioneer Square cubicle dwellers will find their way into Safeco Field for a nine inning lunch to watch our beloved Seattle Mariners try to salvage a win from this six game homestand against the hated Texas Rangers.
This afternoon, Taijuan Walker will be going head to head with AJ Griffin. This will be Walker’s second start of the season following his performance at the home opener. He looked good on paper but was behind in the count quite a bit. This is a huge opportunity for everybody’s favorite sneakerhead to bust a slump.
Let’s check the news-
Green Hydro now in sole possession of last place.

OH. Real news-
Mariners have players-only meeting after losing streak reaches 5. https://t.co/OWFBbf59al pic.twitter.com/2L1wdr1Kx1

Don’t know which tidbit is more interesting. A players-only meeting normally results in a next day win, at least in most sports video game simulations I’ve played so it’s something to keep an eye on. Whereas, the green hydro is really going to have to step it up or everyone is going to be blowing up the comments section demanding that the Green Machine changes sponsors and starts to rebuild. How long can we keep saying "It’s early" for the Green Hydro?
