Poll: The New Lookout Landing Logo

It's time.

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Lookout Landing is a place with a storied, deep, long history. It's a community with traditions and roles spanning back more than a decade, and it's as rich and vibrant a place on the internet in part because of those things. One of LL's most sacred tenants is its logo. It began with Mariner slugger Richie Sexson, mired in a horrific slump in 2006, hunched over in existential pain. During the SBN 2.0 and re-branding the logo was re-done to its current form, a slightly more smoothed over version of the same feeling. Longing, sadness, and pain. It fit. It still fits.

But it's time for a change.

This will be an exceedingly difficult and unpopular decision with a portion of our readers and commenters, I know that already. However in an attempt to establish that we as fans are not beholden to the years of suffering and losing that the franchise has put us through we are going to go with a new logo for the 2016 season. We've been brainstorming for weeks and, due to the amazingly talented Jose Rivera, we have some options:

Leaping Bob Wolcott

Leaping Bob

Ichiro

Ichiro Logo

Carrying Griffey

Griffey Logo

Flying Guti

Lenny Randle

Randle Logo

Cool Ass Robbie Cano

Cano Logo

Perfect Felix

We are giving you the opportunity to vote on these choices. While I won't go as far as to say that whichever logo the majority votes for automatically becomes the next logo of Lookout Landing I will say that, as always, we are heavily considering the input from the community here.

So vote! Vote for change, vote for hope, vote for love. Vote, because the sun is shining and it's April.
