James Paxton Vs. Rubby De La Rosa (?)

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

With the Puget Sound firmly in the grip of a never ending cycle of gray, wet days we once again turn our gaze longingly to the clear skies, arid air, and 70 beautiful degrees of Peoria, Arizona. James Paxton will look to build on a solid first start by throwing three innings, BOOG Powell and his Camelback full of Hi-C will once again roam uninhibited through centerfield, and Stefen Romero will look to continue to impress loved ones and management alike with a start in right field.

Here are the lineups and various other items of small to moderate import for you to peruse:

A couple of notes:

  • Rickie Weeks at DH. Heh.

  • If you have not done so already I highly, highly recommend you read Eric's piece on Leonys Martin from this morning. Not only is it as fine a piece of data-driven analysis to appear on the site under my admittedly stat-bereft guidance, it introduces the nickname KILL MACHINE, which I will use unfailingly moving forward.
  • Also from this morning came the news that both Evan Scribner and Ryan Cook are struggling with lat injuries and unlikely to be ready for Opening Day.
  • I um well wait you hm see that's weird but ok I guess if you guys are having fun then go ahead?
