3/28: Open Game Thread

Nathan Karns gets to toe the rubber today after it was announced he will begin the season as the Mariners' No. 5 starter. No real surprise there given how James Paxton performed this spring. Today, Karns gets to show his stuff without the added on pressure of fighting for a spot.

Meanwhile, the rest of the roster seems to be coming together. Now just the backup catcher and one bullpen spot remain to be fought for. What you'll see from here on out is basically your Opening Day roster.

Today, the Mariners play the Royals in a slightly-more-meaningful spring training game. It's a Monday and there's baseball to be watched. Should be a fun one.
