Hooray, baseball is back! Fake baseball, but you know. Beggars, choosers, etc. I have gotten used to the Mariners coloring my otherwise gray days, so the off-day yesterday was kind of a downer. If you missed it, the staff over at DRays Bay did a great job covering the Tampa Bay Kiermaier's historic trip to Cuba. We learned Brad Miller cannot hold a child but can appreciate a clutch potato chip. Good stuff. Now onto our game!

Tonight, the Mariners get a primetime match-up against division rival and poop-infused-stadium-havers the Oakland Athletics (I wonder if any visitors to the A's clubhouse have ever been forced to put poop in a purse). Gutierrez is scratched from the lineup as he's contracted that nasty flu everyone has; stepping into the DH spot is Steve Clevenger, who has just returned from battling that same flu. Guys, get a neti pot already. It's a game changer, I promise.

Also, it's Joel Peralta's birthday. He's 40 years old and probably in better shape than most of us reading this website. Go on, Joel, it's ya birthday:
