3/11: Open game thread

Today, the Mariners take on the Shark, Iwakuma takes on the Giants, and we all take on Friday.

We could see the debut of Cuban outfielder Guillermo Heredia in today's game. Bob Dutton reported that he has been slowed by a twisted ankle, but should see action as a substitute today or tomorrow. Luis Sardinas will get a day off due to calf tightness. Dutton reports he should be back tomorrow.

In today's news, we're still a ways out from seeing Charlie Furbush on the mound:

Mariners continue taking it slow with Furbush. WIll throw flatground today and then live BP next week, so no game action scheduled yet.

Furbush is on track in his recovery, but the team is showing an abundance of caution.
