• Lloyd McClendon has been hired as the Tigers' hitting coach for 2017.
• Dave Cameron says the Blue Jays should tear it all down and start over.
• Charlie Sheen expressed interest in throwing out the first pitch when the Indians play in the World Series, but the idea was shut down.
• David Ortiz was playing with very worn out ankles, according to the Red Sox medical staff.
