9/18: ALCS/NLCS Open Game Thread

Things are going great why do you ask?

MLB: ALCS-Toronto Blue Jays at Cleveland Indians
miss you boo
Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The MLB decided to schedule a potentially-decisive Game 4 for 1 PM on a Tuesday because they literally just heard that the club was goin’ up on a Tuesday, and we at Lookout dropped the ball. We regret the error. Here is a place to chat about the game in retrospect, make fun of Trevor Bauer’s leaky finger, whatever you want to do.

A reminder of who played in this game:

Today's Lineups

CLEVELAND INDIANS TORONTO BLUE JAYS
Carlos Santana - DH Jose Bautista - RF
Jason Kipnis - 2B Josh Donaldson - 3B
Francisco Lindor - SS Edwin Encarnacion - 1B
Mike Napoli - 1B Troy Tulowitzki - SS
Jose Ramirez - 3B Russell Martin - C
Lonnie Chisenhall - RF Michael Saunders - DH
Coco Crisp - LF Ezequiel Carrera - LF
Tyler Naquin - CF Kevin Pillar - CF
Roberto Perez - C Ryan Goins - 2B
Corey Kluber - RHP Aaron Sanchez - RHP

I am not a fan of the Jays, so go Cleveland, but I am a fan of MOAR BASEBALL and caps that don’t feature Chief Wahoo, so go Blue Jays. Ugh now I need a shower.

EDIT: Okay also apparently there's an NLCS game.  Talk about that here, too. Here's who's playing in that one:

Today's Lineups

CHICAGO CUBS LOS ANGELES DODGERS
Dexter Fowler - CF Chase Utley - 2B
Kris Bryant - 3B Corey Seager - SS
Ben Zobrist - LF Justin Turner - 3B
Anthony Rizzo - 1B Adrian Gonzalez - 1B
Javier Baez - 2B Josh Reddick - RF
Jorge Soler - RF Joc Pederson - CF
Addison Russell - SS Yasmani Grandal - C
Miguel Montero - C Andrew Toles - LF
Jake Arrieta - RHP Rich Hill - LHP

This series is tied 1-1 so my rooting interests are split here. I will be very interested in how Rich Hill performs, if only to guess at how many 0s are in the contract he signs this year. Hill has pitched a grand total of seven innings in his playoff action so far, so he needs to give the Dodgers some innings to help conserve their bullpen, although Jake Arrieta has also had some shorter starts this year. In my opinion, this game has equal chances of being a pitcher's duel or both sides having their bullpens active by the fifth, so of course it will be a dinger-fest in which both starters go eight despite each giving up three-run home runs.
