9/13: Open game thread

Well James Paxton returns to the Mariners today, in this, the last of a three game interleague series against the Rockies. Something tells me it's going to be an extremely popular event throughout the city of Seattle, with hundreds--nay, thousands--of fans lining the windowed walls of drinking establishments just to get a peek of their beloved sporting team. That's actually a completely accurate sentence, the second one there. And that's all I'm going to say about it.

In lieu of this being a sparsely populated game thread, I'll just say that it's going to be great to see Paxton out there again. After the ups and downs of his past two injury-filled seasons, and with the fact that he's entering his 27th year on God's green earth, you kind of have to wonder how much longer we can turn every pitch into a preview of what lies ahead. Maybe this is it. Maybe we've got what we got, and we've got it now. Not exactly the sexiest outcome of our little Cerberus myth, but I think we're gonna survive, somehow, some way. Onward and upward.

Goms.
