Ok. Hello. Have a nice weekend? I did. I did not watch much baseball though. I think I will watch this baseball game however. Coors Field is reputedly one of the jewels of the National League and a rare destination for the Mariners. Felix Hernandez is pitching. Felix Hernandez is hitting! These are both exciting devleopments.
Ketel Marte is batting leadoff and in center field? Yep. Center field. The drop off from Austin Jackson to Ketel Marte in centerfield is probably larger than the drop off from Brad Miller to Ketel Marte at shortstop but Austin Jackson is a free agent after this year. Brad, well he'll be around. Probably. Unless he gets the drawstring on his hoodie caught in a window in the offseason and wrenches his shoulder or something, which is the kind of thing I could absolutely see him doing.
Jesus Montero is back at first and well this is probably not a good lineup y'all but I think it looks fun and it's nice out and I have some Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin in the fridge and there are a lot things that make me excited about watching the Mariners tonight. I hope you join me. If not, still have a great night. We only get so many of these summer evenings together, after all.
