Well, yesterday's trade deadline may have ended the season for a number of teams, but for some reason, each of them still have to play meaningless games until October. Such as today's wonderful doozy of a match between the Seattle Mariners and Minnesota Twins, which you are here to talk about! Huzzah!
To be fair, 99% of every single Seattle Mariners game over the past decade-plus has been "meaningless" as well, so what we should do is not be bummed and instead be excited to watch Ketel Marte bat leadoff in his, his second-ever MLB game! And then one returning Robinson Cano will DH three batters later! Maybe there will be some debuts of new bullpen arms, another Jesus Montero dinger, a Troy Tulowitzki pinch-hit single, a Cole Hamels shutout or an oh god, wait, no, yeah it's still this game against the Twins. Right. Welp.
