We have entered July, one of baseball's more thrilling months for those that enjoy roster moves. The trade deadline is mere weeks away and all the joyful Twitter refreshing, rumor-mongering, fake account sheniganizing and eventual crushing sense of being unfulfilled is just around the corner.
Today, however is not that. Just a little bullpen reshuffling:

The Charlie Furbush news is legitimately disappointing. The tall, poorly bearded left-hander was enjoying a very effective 2015 prior to his injury. Shannon Drayer points out that the team had been trying to stay away from Furbush for awhile, indicating this is something that's been lingering for a bit. Whatever it is, speedy recovery to Charlie.
This does announce the return of personal favorite Danny Farquhar, who has been pitching well in Tacoma. Farquhar was one of the team's best relievers in 2013 and 2014 so a return to form over the next few months won't really effect the W/L all that much but will increase enjoyment of the team. Or at least my personal enjoyment. Which is really all I care about to be honest.
Vidal Nuno's return will hopefully make me do fewer Welington Castillo and Mark Trumbo comparisons? I dunno guys. The Mariners called up a few relievers, sent down one and sent another to the DL. Maybe they'll give one of them an AB with runners in scoring position.
