Well I guess there's going to be a baseball game. I for one would greatly appreciate it if the game were only 9 innings, regardless of score. Secondarily I would enjoy it if the Mariners scored more runs than the Diamondbacks. A win tonight sets the team up with Felix pitching for back to back series wins at home and a 4-2 homestand, welcome news for the team and also the poor marketing staff.
Lloyd again is eschewing platoon advantage, sitting Logan Morrison for the "hot bat(?)" of Mark Trumbo. The last 2-3 weeks have, in my opinion, been Lloyd's weakest as Mariner manager from a tactical perspective. It would be nice to feel like he was on top of his game. Maybe he is! Maybe I'm the idiot! Maybe we're both idiots who just disagree about baseball lineups! Maybe we're both geniuses, although probably not.
Win, ya crumbs at the bottom of a box of cereal.
