Willie Bloomquist was batting .159/.194/.174 in 72 PA.

There are many for whom this news is cause for celebration. There is almost no doubt it makes the team better. Chris Taylor right now may be a better baseball player than Willie Bloomquist ever was and Bloomquist's presence on the team seemed a touchpoint for those that feel the organization puts too much value on all the wrong things. For you, today is your day.

It is unlikely, although possible, that Bloomquist gets another job at this point. If it is the end he stands as one of the great, true replacement players of all time. He accrued 1.0 fWAR in over 3200 plate appearances.
