After a (very) frustrating loss yesterday, the Mariners will look to rally and take the series with The King on the mound. Felix boasts an impressive 1.04 ERA and a 5-0 record in his last five starts against the Angels. Hopefully, he'll close the book on a weirdly rough June. After a dominant April and May with an 8-1 record and a 1.91 ERA, which also saw him throw two complete game shutouts, Felix was 2-3 with a 6.75 ERA in June. But Felix is Felix. So let's have some Sunshine and Lollipops today. Let's have some fun. Let's have a great, Happy Felix Day.
The Mariners haven't seen much of Santiago, but he had two losses and 7.71 ERA in his two starts against the M's last season. Robinson Cano is in the lineup despite being little leagued in the forehead yesterday by an errant warm throw by deeply apologetic professional (?) short stop Taylor Featherston. Willie Bloomquist is also playing baseball today.
