Here are tonight's lineups:
Mike Montgomery makes his major league debut tonight, toeing the rubber against CC who made his major league debut a few years back or something. Personally, I always get excited to see a debut, especially of a former top-prospect who is left-handed and 6'4". Anything resembling major-league level has to be seen as a decent return for what Erasmo turned in to, and let's hope for a nice 5-6 inning outing from the new boy.
On the offensive side of things, Willie hits 2nd and plays short while Rickie Weeks DHs so Nellie Cruz can ply his wares in right field. Justin Ruggiano gets in the lineup again in left field and that's good and that's great because I missed him and his nice muscles.
What's on deck for tonight:
- The Mariners look to end a three-game skid, climb their way back towards .500 and make us all happy, little kiddos again.
- I'm going to be drinking different types of high-acid whites tonight. If you haven't explored Gruner or Piquepoul as wine varieties, I suggest you do, and fine your new favorite summer wine.
- I called Willie, he said he's got one bloop single in him tonight.
- Mike Montgomery is achieving a dream he has had in his heart since he was probably first sentient, and that's pretty, damn cool.
