Roenis Elias vs Lance McCullers

Soooo...how about a series win?

First, lineups:

SEATTLE MARINERS HOUSTON ASTROS
Seth Smith - RF George Springer - RF
Austin Jackson - CF Carlos Correa - SS
Robinson Cano - 2B Evan Gattis - DH
Nelson Cruz - DH Chris Carter - 1B
Kyle Seager - 3B Colby Rasmus - LF
Mark Trumbo - LF Hank Conger - C
Logan Morrison - 1B Jake Marisnick - CF
Brad Miller - SS Luis Valbuena - 3B
Jesus Sucre - C Marwin Gonzalez - 2B
Roenis Elias - LHP Lance McCullers - RHP

With the exception of Sucre picking up a start on getaway day, it looks like a typical Mariners lineup against the Astros' righty, with the exception of Trumbo in left field, which boy can't wait for some of these throws. Frustratingly, McCullers has been putting up a really great first season in the bigs thanks to a probably unsustainable K/9 of 10.45 vs a BB/9 of only 1.74. Today will only be his sixth start, and while he's always been a bit of a strikeout machine his walks are bound to come back to earth one of these days. Lets just hope that day is today.

If the Mariners can pull off a win today they will head to San Fransisco in pretty good shape to try and right the ship. The bad news is they are going to have to keep winning and keep winning to make up for what has happened during the past two months. Take from this what you will--I'll choose the part that gets us Roenis GIFs and a flight out of Houston, thank you very much.
