Well, the Mariners will be playing some morning baseball today as they look to complete a three-game sweep of the Toronto Blue Jays that would put them only a game back from .500 as they get set to face the Rays next week. And while the M's will look to get it done against Aaron Sanchez, current owner of a 4.97 xFIP and 6.35 BB/9, they will be sending a young arm out to the mound that recently tried to make his way through a roster of major league hitters with nothing but fastballs and a few crossed fingers.
Needless to say, it's a pretty big day for Taijuan as he looks for his first win since April 27th back in Arlington. But it's not just Taijuan looking to right the ship this afternoon, as Lloyd McClendon shared his thoughts on Cano during the morning's media availability:
