Well by golly gee it's way too early to be doing this now, isn't it? I've always been a big fan of morning baseball, though, and today we'll get a lefty heavy lineup in to face the Orioles' Chris Tillman, owner of a 2-5 record with a walk problem and a 5.06 xFIP on the year. Hopefully there isn't still too much sleep in everyone's eyes, because that would make hitting a struggling pitcher that much harder, and also, catching J.A. Happ a bit of a fool's errand. This is the excuse we should use for Wellington Castillo's Mariners debut behind the dish this morning, because it's too early to really care and the only thing that actually matters at the moment is coffee.
Look for an interesting zone on getaway day, which should hopefully still be happening despite apparent showers. Oh yeah, and Brad is in left while Cruz spends the day as the DH. Things just may be starting to look up. Goms, etc.
