4/22: Open game thread

You know when you've had one of those weeks and you just aren't feeling it but your buddies are like, "This party will be the one, man." It's Friday night, but you'd rather stay in, just unwind, maybe watch O, Brother Where Art Thou and cry a little? It's not even someone you know who's throwing the party, but they keep telling you, "Jose Lopez is gonna be there, Russell the Muscle, even Ruben Sierra. YOU GOTTA COME." It's a nice lineup, but you feel like you have nothing left in the tank.

They finally convince you to go, despite the fact that you didn't get that assignment in on time, you had to take the wrath of a superior for the actions of someone who wasn't you, and to cap it off, the family bird flew away. Yeah, that week. You swear you forgot to close the garage door and you know you left the TV on, but you're in the car and they offered to pick you up. The 30 pack of cheap beer in the back seems like too real of an homage to your old college days and you start to think about love lost. But your best pal, Pete, he's on the car radio, and he just found a station playing some Black Eyed Peas.

You pull up to a stranger's home, where the party is being held with Jose, Russ, and even RUBEN IS GOING TO BE THERE. You're dragging, you've been single for more than a year and it just isn't working. This seems like a bad idea. Yet you walk in the door of that party, the music hits you (This Is How We Do It by Montell Jordan) and you JUST

AND FOR THE NEXT FOUR HOURS.

That party? Yeah, that party. That's happenin'. Tonight. At Safeco Field.

So grab a beverage, go high-five Ruben, and let's get this one-way train to the Coconut Bangers Ball rolling.
