Felix! It's Felix! Happy Felix Day!

The King.

Rick Scuteri-USA TODAY Sports

It is my pleasure, for the first time in 2015, to wish everyone a Happy Felix Day. Hooray!

Unfortunately, for those of us not down in Scottsdale, we will be unable to watch this game because there is no televised broadcast. Booooo. Maybe you'll be able to listen to it live on the radio? It looks like the broadcast on KIRO will be delayed until tonight, but I think you should still be able to listen along online? In any case, hopefully Gameday is working well today.

In his first start this spring, Felix is probably just looking to work a couple innings and continue to get a feel for his pitches. Hopefully he's able to locate his offerings where he wants 'em and can rack up a couple o' punchouts. After Felix, it looks like Roenis Elias will also get a chance to throw an inning or two. Taijuan Walker has been pretty lights out in his two appearances so far this spring, so Elias probably needs to take full advantage of each of his opportunities. Later in the game, two of the men who could be fighting for that second lefty spot in the bullpen (Rafael Perez and Mike Kickham) look like they might also get a chance to pitch.

Offensively, the Mariners are running out about half of their starters. Brad Miller and Chris Taylor both get the call again, but they've switched positions for today's contest. Hopefully both of these guys continue to swing the bat well and this shortstop battle increases in intensity to develop into a battle of epic proportions. D.J. Peterson, who currently leads the Mariners in Spring Training ABs (16), also gets another start today.

The Rockies are countering with Kyle Kendrick (who is overwhelmingly mediocre) and have a few of their projected starters in the lineup (namely Carlos Gonzalez, Justin Morneau, and Corey Dickerson... but no Troy Tulowitzki).
