Hisashi Iwakuma vs Chris Tillman

Jason Miller

It's morning baseball time!

Fire up that pot of coffee, because the M's are going to look to take the series against the Orioles today. They will do this by sending out Hisashi Iwakuma to the mound, backed up by yet another lineup that actually looks like something you would be able to beat the computer with in a baseball video game, which is exciting.

Nelson Cruz gets the day off for the Orioles, and the M's will look to put something together against Chris Tillman, who was drafted by Seattle before being included in that trade for a certain All-Star centerfielder that shall not be discussed any further. Tillman is having somewhat of a down year in 2014, struggling to match career averages in strikeouts and walks while actually lowering his home run rate, all of which should make him around a two-win player by the end of the season. Absolutely nothing to scoff at, but also absolutely someone with all the makings for a day of confusing domination. Well, maybe anyway--there is an alarming lack of black holes on that M's roster. We shall see.

Go M's.
