2014 MLB All-Star Game Thread

Some good players in the American League "host" some good players from the National League. Oh yeah, Felix is starting the game for the AL.

Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Felix Day, everyone!

Feels good to say that right now. Felix Hernandez of the Seattle Mariners (whoever the hell they are) and the rest of the American League All-Stars will take on Adam Wainwright (and like 7 other guys) and the National League All-Stars for home field advantage in the World Series.

Unlike for most years, this game could actually have a significant impact on the Seattle Mariners. Since the M's are currently in the middle of a playoff push, making the World Series is a serious possibility. And thus, the extra game at home could help them later down the line. It's a slim chance, but it's not nothing!

Here's to hoping we'll get to see Robbie Cano and Kyle Seager come up big and Fernando Rodney shooting the arrow for the AL victory. Go...uhhh...American League All-Stars!
