Back to baseball.
Following up Taijuan Walker is Hisashi Iwakuma, who will battle Jared Cosart as the Mariners attempt to jump all the way up to eight games over .500. Cosart has been effective for the Astros this year after his surprising rookie campaign, managing a 3.60 ERA in 2014 despite mediocre control and a general inability to miss bats. Cosart simply keeps the ball in the park, or at least he has so far. I'm not exactly sure how he does it - in 2013, Cosart walked more batters than he struck out and managed a 1.95 ERA - but he's doing it. Cosart throws a lot of cutters and curves and gets bunches of ground balls.
