Chris Young and the M's open up a three-game series at home against Trevor Bauer and the Cleveland Indians.

Otto Greule Jr

Happy Chris Young Day! (?)

Or, er...maybe? Regardless, the Indians come to Seattle having lost four of their last five games and while they looked like they might be a real threat to the Mariners' wild card chase about a month ago, they're a little bit less so now. However, the Indians seem to have an uncanny ability to give the Mariners trouble regardless of the circumstances (like the Astros! Who the Mariners play next...).

The good news is that the Mariners have Chris Young at home today where he is good. The other good news is that the Indians have Trevor Bauer taking the hill, who really not that good compared to how he was supposed to be. He's currently sporting a 4.40/4.52/3.96 line. The interesting thing is that, for how many fly balls Chris Young induces (58%), Trevor Bauer has been pretty good at doing that this year as well (43%).* The big difference here is that Bauer actually strikes people out (9.00 K/9).

Prepare for plenty of warning-track balls from both sides today.
