Say goodbye to the Mariners' notorious spring training rivals, at least for a few months. This afternoon, the M's will play the finale of this four-game series and try to get their first win in San Diego against right-hander Jesse Hahn.
The Tacoma News Tribune's Bob Dutton tweeted that the Mariners' starters are riding a six-game streak with two or fewer runs per game. If Erasmo Ramirez can pull off another scoreless outing today, the M's will set a record as the first American League staff in five years to pitch seven games while giving up 14 or fewer runs. I'm not positive that Ramirez can hold out much longer, but he's currently building on two starts and 10 2/3 innings of shutout ball, so anything's possible... right?
