Today the Mariners will look to put a halt to this losing streak with Erasmo Ramirez taking the mound. Yikes! That's a fun sentence. The good news, possibly, is that Safeco Joe is back in town and is hopefully due for a little trouble. Nothing like that James Jones and Cole Gillespie combination at the top of the order.
Jesus Montero gets his first start back in the bigs at DH today, and will be hitting cleanup right behind Cano. Lloyd looks to be sticking to his Montero vs lefties game plan, and it's probably one of the better plans the M's are trotting out in their big magical playbook, and while the whole cleanup thing will probably have some people up in arms, well...honestly, whatever.
In other news, the organization has promoted Ji-Man Choi to AAA Tacoma this afternoon, and it doesn't seem to be too much of a stretch to imagine him wearing a Seattle uniform sometime this season. I don't know how to paint, but if I was ever given the assignment to create a beautiful forest landscape painting, I would probably look down at all the random colors I had on my palette and then just start throwing them on the easel in the hopes that they all eventually come together to look like a beautiful forest. This whole paragraph is about baseball.
Anyway. Go M's.
