Discouraging, to say the least. The Mariners rank 13th in wRC+, but their awful defense brings their lineup down to 27th overall. Surely, much of it has come from Ibanez, Morse and Bay in the outfield.; also, Montero at catcher early in the season. Still, something of which to take note. Hopefully the new infield of the future, Zunino/Smoak/Seager/Miller/Franklin will fix some of that. The outfield, unfortunately, is still a question mark.
