First pitch: 4:15 pm
TV: FOX
Felix day! A day it is indeed, as it's his 6th day game of the season. Last season, Felix only pitched in 8 day games all year long, but the schedule has him pitching in the sun more often than usual.
Mike Zunino returns sits as Henry Blanco makes his Mariners debut, as perhaps the Mariners don't feel like Zunino is quite ready to handle Felix. Blanco has a reputation of being an excellent defensive catcher, and used to be Greg Maddux's personal catcher. The Mariners don't have Greg Maddux, but they have Felix. In just a week, Felix went from having two catchers he know to zero.
A's starter A.J. Griffin has thrown almost the exact same amount of innings as he did last season, and the results are weirdly similar, except for ERA.
