Well this series should be an exercise in flaw vs. flaw. The Mariners have struck out more than every AL team save two and the Twins last had a pitcher strike a batter out in August of 2007. Twins' starter Mike Pelfrey is sporting a 4.70 K/9 which is firmly in the "Saunders Zone". Here's to hoping that the Mariners make enough contact to overcome Joe Mauer (God that's hard to spell now) lacing doubles the other way all night.

Justin Smoak sits for the 6th straight day. I'm glad they are taking the time to get him fully healthy. That kind of injury can really sap a hitter's powahahahaha.
