Now that's what I like to see from Brandon Maurer. The results, sure, great, but the process! Such amazing process! Six strikeouts and only one walk in six and a third innings against one of the better (albeit more slider-prone) lineups in the league. He was spotting that out pitch nicely tonight, and it showed in the results. When he shut down Texas it had an air of the fluky to it; the BB/K was rather lackluster and two home runs is never good. This? This is what I'm talking about.

Also, Kyle Seager is boss.

Questions!

1) Which current Seattle Mariner on the 25-man roster has the best name? Why?

2) I'm growing to not actively dislike Jason Bay, mostly because he can actually play the outfield and also take a walk and hit for some power. If you consider his 2012 season to be a fluke (I do), he's a pretty classy backup. Is there anyone else out there who likes him more than Raul Ibanez?

3) Do you like this Game Chart format? The chart, the tables, hero and zero, a player of the game poll and three questions? Any suggestions for further improvement?
