Hisashi Iwakuma vs. Bud Norris

Bob Levey

Yoenis Cespedes homered.

Adam Dunn homered.

Alex Rios homered.

Ian Kinsler homered.

Mitch Moreland walked.

Victor Martinez walked.

Above you'll find virtually all of the black marks on Hisashi Iwakuma's 2013 record. All runs allowed have been via the home run and he's only walked two hitters. It's silly and has resulted in a 1.69 ERA, the third-best mark in the American League.

He also holds the best walk rate, BABIP, and strand rate in the league. Sadly, regression is on the prowl. Can he keep the good luck rolling against a Houston Astros lineup that was just shut down by the unfriendly combination of Felix Hernandez, Carter Capps, Oliver Perez and Tom Wilhelmsen?

On the other side of things, Bud Norris will be trying to rebound from a statistical overcorrection following three great starts. On the 17th against the Oakland Athletics Norris's outing went as follows:

John Jaso double
Chris Young single
Seth Smith single
Jed Lowrie walk
Josh Reddick double
Derek Norris walk
Eric Sogard single
Shane Peterson walk
RBI out
