It would totally suck if the Pirates clawed all the way back to the playoffs after two decades and then got clowned in a one-game playoff.

David Kohl-USA TODAY Sports

Yes, the one game playoff is exciting even though it's wildly unfair, but how how anti-climatic will it be if the Pirates "make the playoffs" and then get sent home in three hours?

The Pirates just swept a three game series against the Reds, and they'll face them again tonight. Francisco Liriano has decided to be good again, and he'll take the hill for the Pirates. The Reds send out Johnny Cueto, who's only been back for two starts returning from injury. I like underdog stories and Brandon Philips has acted like a bit of a turd lately. Go Pirates.
